Tenak Waker (26) was arrested on 25 September 2019 when he was still being treated at a hospital. He was a bystander when shot in his left thigh during the clash between students and security forces on 23 September 2019. Prosecutors sought one year’s imprisonment for him. He was found guilty of violating Article 170 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code on collective violence against persons or objects and sentenced to seven months in jail on 28 February 2020. He walked free on 6 April 2020.
